Vital Voices Global Partnership
Hardpin was the production partner for the fourth year for Vital Voices’ Annual Global Leadership Awards that took place October 25, 2023, at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. We produced seven films, including the event’s opening film and films for all four Global Leadership Award recipients: climate activist and social entrepreneur Inna Braverman, gender-based violence activist Hellen Lunkuse, disability rights activist Sara Minkara, and Sudanese women’s rights activist Enass Muzamel.

The Challenge
Hardpin partnered with Vital Voices and Queen Collective: a Queen Latifah, Procter & Gamble, and Flavor Unit Entertainment initiative that helps create more opportunities behind the camera for diverse creators in the storytelling industry. In just two months, Hardpin, alongside an EP and Directors from Queen Collective, planned, produced, filmed, and edited the honoree and opening films in Italy, Uganda, Netherlands, Israel, and New York.
Thank you to the entire team at Hardpin and Queen Collective…The Board was gushing that the films were the best yet so thank you all for your hard work to truly pull off the impossible!

We quickly assembled a team of women from the Hardpin staff who embodied the night’s theme, “Power of Possible,” through every step of production. We are accustomed to short timelines, and leaned on our company’s extensive international experience and network to create safe, collaborative filming environments on four continents in a matter of weeks. Having a female-led team led to a more comfortable, empowering experience for the honorees and was an exciting mission fit for Vital Voices, which works tirelessly to amplify women leaders around the world.
Results
These films debuted on the big screen in front of a live audience at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, filmmaker Ava DuVernay, fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, actress and activist Ashley Judd, Co-anchor of PBS NewsHour Amna Nawaz and more watched in person alongside fourteen hundred attendees.
We charted new waters this season with an animation for FIRST’s robotics challenge announcement, discovering new tools and new workflows with AI.
Hardpin was tasked with creating over 40 videos for the Democratic National Convention, both for the convention itself as well as promotional videos. The Washinton Post called it “award-worthy television.”
What better way to celebrate 10 years of partnering with great causes, campaigns and companies than by introducing our new look.
